I decided to put blogger on the back burner, and conform to tumblr. because everyone told me it was "cooler" and whatever.
What did I learn from tumblr? That no one took the time out of their day to read what I actually had to write. What's the point of that?
I learned that in order to get "likes" and "followers" I just had to post pictures that "said a million words". I'd rather just say a million words.
I like pictures, but I'm not a photographer.
I love writing- I'm an author, I'm a poet. I'm a word connoisseur.
I decided that just because something is popular doesn't mean it's the best/right thing for us.
tumblr may be more "trendy", but I think it's overrated.
Trends are overrated. Other people's opinions are overrated.
Why do we always feel the need to conform and do what society tells us to?
Well let me tell you something,
I say no.
